Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the AURA platform, API, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and AURA ("we", "us", "our").

2. Description of Service

AURA is an AI FinOps platform that provides:

  • Smart Routing — automatic model selection based on query complexity
  • Prompt Compression — token reduction via rule-based and ML-powered methods
  • FinOps Analytics — real-time cost tracking, usage dashboards, and ROI reporting

The Service is accessible at aura-api.com and through our API endpoints.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service.

4. API Usage & Fair Use

You agree to use the Service in compliance with all applicable laws and these Terms. You shall not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to transmit harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage
  • Exceed the rate limits or usage quotas associated with your plan
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without written consent
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

Rate limits and usage quotas are determined by your subscription plan (Free, Starter, or Pro). Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension.

5. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

The Service supports a BYOK model where you provide your own API keys for third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Groq, etc.).

  • You are solely responsible for any costs incurred with your API keys through third-party providers
  • AURA stores your API keys encrypted at rest (AES-256) and transmits them only over HTTPS/TLS
  • AURA is not responsible for any charges, rate limits, or policy violations on your third-party provider accounts
  • You may delete your stored keys at any time through your cabinet

6. Subscription & Billing

AURA offers the following subscription plans:

  • Free — $0/month, BYOK, 10K tokens/month, basic metrics
  • Starter — $19/month, smart routing, FinOps dashboard, 100K tokens/month
  • Pro — $49/month, ML compression, semantic cache, unlimited tokens

Payments are processed securely via Paddle (paddle.com). Subscriptions are billed monthly and auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days prior notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for 60 days after any price change.

7. Intellectual Property

The AURA platform, including its software, design, documentation, trademarks, and all related intellectual property, is owned by AURA and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You retain full ownership of:

  • Your prompts, data, and content processed through the Service
  • Any outputs generated using your API keys via the Service

You grant AURA a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not use your data to train AI models.

8. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • AURA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • AURA shall not be liable for any loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill
  • AURA's total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim

AURA does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

  • By you: Cancel your subscription and delete your account through the cabinet or by emailing support@aura-api.com
  • By us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable

Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease. Your stored data (including API keys) will be deleted within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained for analytical purposes.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email to the address associated with your account.

Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must discontinue use and close your account.
